Celebrating their 50th anniversary with a gift for us all, Etro showcased its Spring 2018 RTW collection with a tribute to founder Gerolamo Etro’s love for travel, life and culture.
Although established in 1968, Kean and Veronica have preserved the brand’s unique identity while making a significant tribute to their father’s fond sense of historically infused designs through this Spring 2018 Ready-to-Wear collection.
Heavily inspired by Indian/Persian motifs, the designers have merged both men’s and women’s wear in one runway show, creating an almost unisex collection that merges identities and cultures with embroidered jacquard jackets for the woman, and velvet jeweled robes & silk printed waistcoats for the man.
This season Etro also takes it a step further with their focus on comfort; displayed in fluid-like and easily draped over the shoulder sprees, and flat shoes that give a new meaning to “comfort meets culture”.
Boho-chic laced with Indian mysticism and wrapped in Persian elegance – the collection strikes a balance as a subtle presentation of transformative fashion with its amalgamation of colors and historical themes.
