After parting ways with designer Peter Dundas, Pucci has tried to find its direction under the hands of Massimo Giorgetti for the past four seasons (who also has left the company in 2017). The brand has been favored for it’s pesky and colorful prints for decades, so for Spring/Summer 2018 Pucci team has made the decision to go back to their roots.
Pucci’s SS’18 collection is dedicated to poolside glamour: an homage to their old-school archival prints, and we believe their current use of prints and patterns inspired but not “copied” from archives is the direction Pucci needs to follow.
Ease, effortlessness and elegance at its core, the collection consists of cut-out lace Pucci patterns, mirrors-embroidered broderie anglaise, prints in solid colors and laser cut dots and patches on postcard tops with an abundance of accessories: coral necklaces, oversized sunglasses, twill “Zenzi” mini bags and towel turbans.
According to Laudomia Pucci, “It’s everything you’d pack for a beach holiday! ”
It is a pool party at Pucci and we’re up for it.
